  1. I don’t think it was “Our RNAi technology” that saved the papaya from the Papaya Ringspot Virus Disease. It was insertion of a viral coat protein gene that in retrospect probably acts by RNAi. Even then many scientists have a finger in the development of RNAi technology. Of our RNAi techologies, ribozymes and double stranded RNAi , neither was relevant to the papaya solution.
    Nevertheless the answer given was the closest to reality.
