It’s been a year since we made information about 200,000 research papers freely available. Today we’re wishing our Research Publications Repository a very happy first birthday. While the Research Publications Repository (Three Letter Acronym=RPR) is a youngin’, it contains  journal articles, conference papers, books and reports that date back to the 1920s.

Over the past 12 months, 69,545 visitors from around the world have stopped by to check out our publications. Of them, most were interested in climate change and challenges present by global warming, water availability and land and water management. We’ve had nearly 90,000 downloads; the most popular being a journal article on cyanidation, a means for the recovery of gold from ores.

To celebrate, the RPR has released a new advanced search function to help you target articles of interest. In our humble opinion, it’s handy for finding publications by Bird but not about birds, or about birds but not necessarily by Bird. Go on, try an advanced search.
