The scientists, support staff and crew on board RV Investigator celebrated Australia Day near Heard Island.
The scientists, support staff and crew on board RV Investigator were hunkering down yesterday with wind speeds up to 50 knots preventing them from deploying equipment.
Instead they tucked into a lunch of oysters, prawns and other delicious things, like lamingtons, and tuned into Triple J’s Hottest 100, to celebrate Australia Day.

Kudos for having the good taste to listen in to triple J’s hottest 100. it has been a bit of an institution at our house for years now. Hope the weather improves for you soon though.
