Welcome to our Compact Array telescope!

As yesterday’s post hinted at, astronomers are always good for a party.

Our next one is on Sunday 1 September — and you’re invited!

Our excuse? Our Compact Array telescope, in northwest NSW, will be turning 25.

Like its older sibling, ‘The Dish’ at Parkes, it’s a real gem of Australian (and world) astronomy. Here’s more about why we have reason to celebrate.
