Our SME champions were today announced as winners at the Australian Business Awards 2013 (woo hoo!).

They won the Business Award for Innovation for contributing to industry through innovative products, technologies and ideas which have resulted in commercial, environmental and/or social benefits.

Getting researchers into business to help them innovate and gain a competitive edge is what our Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Engagement team does best.

They work directly with companies to help them get the most value out of their research & development activities so that they can overcome technical challenges and help their business grow.

This includes companies from all sorts of industries such as manufacturing, minerals, healthcare, information and communication technology and agriculture.

The SME Engagement Centre has facilitated about 70 successful R&D projects through the Enterprise Connect Researchers in Business program.
