The photos of RV Investigator can be deceiving when it comes to the size of the ship. To fit the whole research vessel into the frame, you have to stand a long way back and it’s rare we get a close up of someone standing right at the base of the ship, but we finally have one.
So taking into account that an average person is about the size of two steel blocks, have a look at the photos below of Investigator under construction, and look for two blocks to make the comparison.
